The Piccolomini Library with Pinturicchio's frescoes and the Three Graces statue

Siena Cathedral complex pass without the roof walk

The striped nave, Pinturicchio's library and the view from the unfinished façade, at your own pace.

The cathedral complex pass covers the Cathedral and Piccolomini Library, the Museo dell'Opera with the panorama from the unfinished façade, the Crypt and the Baptistery. Your chosen time is your entry into the Cathedral, and the cathedral asks you to keep to it. The pass stays valid for three consecutive days.

What it is

The pass opens every part of the cathedral complex except the roof: the nave with its black-and-white piers and starry vault, the Piccolomini Library painted by Pinturicchio, the Crypt found again in 1999, the Baptistery under the choir and the Museo dell'Opera, which climbs to the top of the unfinished New Cathedral façade.

On the day

Arrive at the Cathedral for the entry time on your ticket. After the nave and library, visit the other sites in any order within the three days. A free audio guide runs on your own smartphone. The Cathedral has a ramp on its left side; the Museum, Crypt and Baptistery have no step-free access.

Who it suits

Choose this pass if heights or stairs are not for you, or if the roof walks are full on your day. We book this pass for adults. If you are travelling with children aged 7 to 11, the roof ticket has their fare.
